Nortrak develops intelligent IoT and connected technologies that solve real operational problems – particularly where reliable, time-critical information matters.
Sign-Bot is a powerful example of that approach.

Developed in close collaboration with Road Safety Support, Sign-Bot addresses a challenge they understand first-hand: proving that temporary speed enforcement signage was correctly positioned and operational at the time an offence occurred.
Traditionally, establishing that evidence can require repeated physical inspections, detailed records, witness statements and ultimately personnel attending court – creating significant demands across enforcement teams, police, prosecutors, court staff and witnesses.
Sign-Bot changes that.
Installed directly onto temporary road signs, Sign-Bot autonomously records their location, orientation and status, creating a secure, timestamped digital audit trail. If a sign falls, is moved, struck or interfered with, stakeholders can be alerted immediately.
Instead of relying upon people to repeatedly observe, record and subsequently testify to what happened, Sign-Bot creates evidence automatically.
The result is stronger evidential continuity, fewer unnecessary site visits and court appearances, reduced administration and greater confidence when prosecutions are challenged.
It represents what Nortrak does best: working collaboratively with industry experts to understand complex problems – then using connected technology to make them simpler.
