Sign-Bot

Sign-Bot is a fully autonomous system that records the status of road signs to evidence when they are upright or fallen. It is ideal for use in roadwork schemes such for TASCAR1 used for the enforcement of Mandatory speed limits. By attaching a fully autonomous audit device to temporary signs in roadworks schemes, it will automatically log the location, time and upright status, notifying relevant parties automatically in real time if a sign falls over or is struck by a vehicle, enabling swift action to be taken to rectify the issue. The use of the system saves the expense and inconvenience of deploying Traffic Management Teams to make inspections of signs and to create records of sign audits throughout the period of the road works. By using the system immediate notification is provided of a defect in the relevant signs so rectification is not only enabled but automatically recorded. At the end of the road works there is no requirement for any Traffic Management Officer to appear as a witness to the record of the sign status in a prosecution for a speeding offence. 1. (TASCAR is the acronym used by National Highways and stands for Temporary Automatic Speed Camera at Roadworks)

Thermotainers

Our client, Unisnacks is a World foods distributor. They provide retailers, wholesale traders and professional food services across the UK with the finest snack food, cooking ingredients and beverage brands from around the world. Operating from their new, purpose built 3.5-acre, 40,000 sq. ft. warehouse in Bedfordshire, they import from multiple countries and distribute to their customers throughout the United Kingdom. Unisnacks have been selected by many leading world food manufacturers as their exclusive, strategic partner in the UK. Each Thermotainer has temperature sensors as part of the integrated solution to send the temperature data to their third party platform where it can be displayed in the hand held terminals at the point of delivery. This provides proof of temperature live, at the point of delivery.

Custom OEM Firmware Development

APK Industries (APKI) is a designer and manufacturer of Zero Emission Generators (ZE-Gens), also known as Portable Power Units, to ensure continued power to vulnerable customers during planned and unplanned power outages. The solution needed to be safe to use indoors, with the ability to power sensitive, lifesaving medical equipment and general welfare appliances. The GPS tracker Firmware designed by Nortrak can remotely monitor the equipment and report problems if or when they occur. A low battery warning can be vital in ensuring no disruption to medical equipment occurs. Important error codes can be sent to engineers directly, improving efficiencies and capabilities, whilst providing security and peace of mind.

Evidential Tracking

Our client Baker Hughes is one of the world's largest oil and gas companies with revenues in excess of $27.78 billion. Baker Hughes operates in over 120 countries, employs 55,000 people & has more than 1200 drilling rigs operating worldwide.Their radiation monitoring units are factory-fitted with our long-life battery powered GPS trackers to provide proof of radiation monitoring at the drill rig location. Deployed in extremely challenging environments from deserts to the arctic tundra.

Trailer Trackers

Our Client has their trailer fleet tracked. Trailers are hauled by owner drivers. In peak periods, any hired-in trailers are also tracked using our battery-powered trackers. The flexibility of battery-powered trailer tracking greatly enhances the management of otherwise independent truckers with your trailer assets, saving logistics, time, and reliably recording trailer mileage for automated service reminders at the correct intervals. Operators also know the location of their trailer assets spread over many depots and delivery points throughout the UK

Cargo Security

Our client's import consignments are tracked from mainland EU to UK ports, and onwards to the distribution hubs and warehouses. With smart use of geofences, our client receives regular automated updates at key stages of the goods inward supply chain. These timings ensure they maintain their lucrative market lead in their £200M+ T/o FMCG Business. Nortrak also provide leading brands in the Scotch Whisky trade with security for their overseas shipments.

Hired Plant

Our client is operating on HS2, which is Europe's largest infrastructure project with a likely total cost in excess of £106 billion. Our Telematics Platform shows the location of all their assets at any time, automatically updating when they are moved. Their support staff eliminate wasted journeys and time spent looking for equipment. Geofences created around different areas of operation, record when an asset moves in/outside these designated areas for billing, security, or operational safety reasons.

Logistics

Our client, a leading waste management and aggregate supply company operates bulk barges fitted with our GPS trackers on the river Thames. The exact location and timings of barge movements allows them to better organise the correct resources, deploying plant, materials and equipment for large coordinated movements by water and land. In one of the world's busiest cities, it is of vital importance to minimise any impact on the environment or businesses.

Leisure Boat Hire

Our client operates 4 adventure centres offering exciting outdoor activities and challenges across a wide area in the East of the UK. Hired assets are easily located and retrieved ready for their next use, they are secured against theft too. Geofences alert if their hire boats get taken beyond permitted areas. Full visibility of the location of hire assets enables improved logistics and time-saving benefits for staff members.

Covert Tracking

Our client has successfully deployed battery tracking devices to monitor contraband, smuggled drugs and weapons. The trackers are used to collect evidence and route information on international movements. Our client uses a wide range of our devices for different situations and purposes, with data being fed directly into their own software through their own network of secure servers. They control the settings and regularly change these remotely to gain better more granular information when required.

Animal Tracking

Our unique solutions have helped Sami herders gather their Reindeer in Swedish Lapland on the Arctic Circle. We help protect and prevent large scale sheep theft in remote areas, with clever use of geofences and alerts. The movements of cattle are recorded and analysed for conservation purposes in ancient woodlands, forming new natural pathways through the woodland environment. We also enable the accurate tracking of cattle for research of grazing/food intake and measurement of methane output.

TrailerSentry®

Nortrak have a UK network of partners that have helped us to build our TrailerSentry® brand. TrailerSentry® tracker is aimed at horse boxes, covered car transporters, caravans and higher value, non-powered towed assets. A recovery mode can be used if stolen. Alerts can be sent with any combination of security features, giving early warning of tampering or un-authorised movement of your trailer. The extra-ordinary battery life, feature benefits, and a great price point, are key to it's remarkable on-going success.

Battery-powered GPS trackers - How they Work

Battery-powered GPS tracking works by using a network of satellites orbiting the Earth to determine the location of each device using coordinates to position it on a map.

The device receives signals from these satellites and uses them to calculate its own location.

The tracker then sends this information by using the mobile phone network back to our secure server and then to our Telematics cloud-based platform where it can be accessed by the tracker’s owner.

The owner can see the tracker’s location, as well as view its past movements and other relevant data online via a web browser or mobile app.

Battery-powered GPS tracking is used for a variety of applications, including Evidential Tracking, Trailer Tracking, Vehicle Tracking, Fleet Management, Asset Tracking, and Equipment Tracking for Security and Logistics management
